雙簧管(oboe)的管身是用天然的木材所製造，所以雙簧管(oboe)對溫度、濕度的變化非常敏感，這些變化是造成雙簧管(oboe)裂痕及損傷的原因，請各雙簧管學生特別注意。

安裝雙簧管(oboe)前請在接合處(水松接合位)及雙簧管的簧片座的下方四周上塗木膏 (cork grease)，裝雙簧管時請注意不要對按鍵過份用力。
可用雙簧管清潔布(Polishing Cloth)輕輕地拭雙簧管管身表面。
雙簧管(oboe)的按鍵表面可用鍍銀清潔布(Sliver Cloth)擦拭。
